Where participating heroes will battle it out to build your very own Large Language Model (LLM) and muscling each to become the ultimate POLYCC LOL champion. What is LOL?

League of LLM provides a gamified platform for participants where they will build and train their very own LLM and compete against each other. Each participating team will have hands-on experience in training their Generative AI model with a specific theme and answers a sets of questions where the most accurate model will be crowned the POLYCC LOL champion. You do not need to be a data scientist and no coding needed. AWS experts will guide you along the way on what needs to be done to train your next world class model in a fun-way


Benefits

A hands-on way to experience Generative AI

Events start with a hands-on machine learning workshop led by an AWS expert that helps attendees learn the basics of machine learning, start training your Generative AI models, and test them in an exciting gamified experience.

Encourage experimentation and growth

Attendees can test their newfound skills in by experimenting with methodology to train your Generative AI Foundation Models. From working with training data, adjusting hyper-parameters, training and evaluating your trained models and lastly, joining the Battle Arena to compete with your peers

Foster team building and competition

POLYCC LOL 2024 provide an opportunity for attendees to compete for prizes and hone their machine learning skills, online or in-person, while sharing ideas and insights on how to succeed.

POLYCC Competition Announcement

Terms & Conditions

  1. Open to all POLYCC students.
  2. No technical skills and knowledge required.
  3. No hardware and software required.
  4. Each team will be given access to the AWS web console using a Laptop/PC for the purpose of the competition FOR FREE.
  5. Participation Details:
    • ⁠Team Composition: One team consists of one (1) Lecturer as a mentor and two (2) Students.
    • ⁠Institution Participation: Each institution is encouraged to send at least one (1) team. There is no limit to the number of teams for the initial institution-level screening.
    • ⁠Final Stage: For the final stage, institutions are advised to send only one (1) team with the highest marks.
  6. Selection Criteria:
    • ⁠Five (5) teams with the highest marks and able to attend will be selected for the final stage of the competition, which will take place at Dewan Za'ba, KPT.
  7. Additional Details:
    • ⁠Travel and Accommodation: Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the respective institutions.
    • ⁠Food and Drinks: Food and drinks will only be provided during the final stage of the competition on September 23, 2024.
    • ⁠Award Ceremony: The winners' award ceremony will be held on September 23, 2024.
    • ⁠Final Requirements: Laptops must be provided by the teams that qualify for the final stage of the competition.
